High & hazardous structure services

When the job is too high, too complex, or too specialized

Unique Services and Applications (HigherUSA) exists for elevated work that falls outside ordinary construction bids. If access is difficult, height is extreme, the structure is one-of-a-kind, or the risk profile keeps other contractors away — that’s our work.

Scope

Specialized high-elevation capabilities

Flagpoles, steeples, and roofs are core lines — this page is for everything at height that doesn’t fit a neat category.

Extreme height access

Work at elevations where scaffolding is impractical and standard roofers or general contractors will not bid — including tall poles, towers, and high façades.

One-off & custom structures

Non-standard installations, unique fabrications, memorials, ceremonial hardware, and elevated features that need design judgment plus field execution.

High-hazard environments

Difficult access, public venues, active campuses, and sensitive sites where training, insurance, and security clearances matter as much as tools.

Repair, rebuild & relocate

Cut, sleeve, weld, straighten, crane-set, and reinstall large elevated components — the kind of structural rescue work few flag or roof shops can perform.

Historic & ornamental finishes

Gold leaf, ornamental metals, steeplejack finishes, and restoration details on elevated architectural features where appearance and longevity both count.

Emergency & storm response

Storm damage at height, unsafe elevated assemblies, and time-sensitive repairs when waiting for a generic contractor isn’t an option.

Examples

Projects that define this work

Real elevated specialty — not brochure theory.

  • Tall steel flagpoles (100′–150′+) — paint, hardware, winches, and crane-set installs
  • Church domes and steeples — restoration, gold leafing, lightning protection
  • Stadium and civic poles — public venues, tight schedules, high visibility
  • Pole relocation & structural repair — sleeve, weld, re-plumb, reinstall
  • Federal, school, and secure properties — clearance-ready crews
  • Custom high-structure RFQs — the job others mark “no bid”
