In these photos, we completely restored a rusty 100’ flagpole at Bethel Park High School stadium. Located in Bethel Park, PA. We first sanded the flagpole then applied a full coat of rusty red metal oil based primer. A few days later we returned and applied a full coat of oil based aluminum paint to the flagpole. In addition, we replaced the lanyard with solid braided nylon rope and stainless steel snaps and snap covers.
We removed the flagpoles and flagpole bases from the courtyard of the courthouse and cleaned them with an acid-based cleaner to bring them back to their original finish. We then re-installed the flagpoles to their original positions on the wall. Next, we installed a new hardware including solid braided nylon rope, stainless steel snaps, gold ball, aluminum truck system, non-tangle rods, cleats, lock boxes, and new flags.
